Meet Chenoa Quintero, 90-Day Healthy Living Challenge Achiever!


Not long after moving to Hawaii, Garnet Chenoa Quintero heard two radio hosts discussing Kyäni Sunrise. Because she’d already started researching the benefits of water-soluble vitamins and had a budding interest in wellness products, she drove “straight to their office” to learn more.

That’s when she met Business Partner Marie Gouveia, a Diamond who ultimately guided Chenoa through the enrollment process in 2012. Soon, she too became a Business Partner. 

“I had a good reaction to it,” she explained, specifically with regard to increased alertness and focus. “You can tell the difference when you don’t take it.”

Chenoa described how an injury later on resulted in over 10 medical procedures and countless prescription medications, which eventually resulted in weight gain. After gaining 60 pounds, she knew it was time for a change.

“I felt sick and unhappy,” she said. “I just didn’t feel good.”

Chenoa reached out to Marie for guidance, who gave her samples of HL5 and FIT20. She also encouraged her to join the 90-Day Healthy Living Challenge. Marie stuck with her throughout the process, ensuring that she completed the Challenge form at a time when she was “looking for any excuse not to be in photos.”

“I was not feeling comfortable in my skin,” Chenoa explained. “But she said to me, ‘it doesn’t matter.”’

“She knew everything I had gone through and was very inspirational to me.”

The first month, Chenoa admitted, did not go as planned. But rather than stopping, she started to look for little ways to make a big difference in her routine. 

Instead of her usual Starbucks Frappuccino, she blended her own version of the drink using FIT20, ice, and coffee. She also started mixing up HL5 in her water bottle daily and continued taking the Triangle of Health, which she’d stayed with since the beginning.

“All of a sudden, I noticed I had less cravings for sugary things,” she explained.

Soon after, she felt good enough to incorporate exercise into her plan. She started walking and moving along to her favorite exercise videos, then gradually increased the length of her workouts.  

Chenoa recognized this as a huge accomplishment in her life, as she’d been living in a “protective mode” due to her fear of experiencing pain and soreness from exercise. 

“What I was noticing was every time I drank the shake and used the gel, I was not waking up sore the next day,” she said.

She started hiking the beautiful trails in Hawaii, getting faster with each visit. One particular hike that initially took her 40 minutes to summit the mountain eventually took her 15 minutes.

At the end of the challenge, she lost 22 pounds overall. After the challenge, she lost another 15.

“I can see the changes,” she said. “I’m not exactly where I want to be yet, but for that amount of time, for me it was a massive transformation.”

Judging will take place quarterly, and the prizes will be awarded annually from stage at the 2021 International Convention in Salt Lake City!
