Get to know our 90-Day Healthy Living Challenge Finalists! We will be introducing one of our Finalists here every week. These five Finalists have been selected because of their incredible success in reaching and surpassing their Healthy Living goals. Each Finalist will have a chance to win the $15,000 grand prize at our 2021 International Convention in May! 

We caught up with Laura Morris to ask some of our burning questions! 

How did you learn about Kyäni? 

I learned about Kyäni through a simple Facebook post.  I had decided it was high time for me to get in better shape once again as my youngest child of four was four years old.  I couldn’t blame the pregnancy/baby situation any longer.  So, I posted on Facebook asking people how they get enough vegetables in their diets, because, try as I might, I just couldn’t consistently fit in 6-10 daily.  A friend reached out and shared that she doesn’t hit that recommendation either, but uses a “juicing in a pouch” supplement product called Kyäni Sunrise to fill in the gaps and provide 21 superfoods worth of vitamins & minerals.  On a leap of faith, I gave it, along with the rest of the Triangle of Health and HL5, a try.

What was your life like prior to Kyäni?

I mean, good…. but I knew not great!  I actually wrote a synopsis of where I was at the day that I started the products because I wanted to actively track how I felt on them.  Here’s a snippet of what I had said: 

“I am at nearly my all-time high weight.  I have low energy and could definitely nap daily if life allowed. If I do nap, I sleep for a couple of hours at least and still have a hard time waking up. My kids exhaust me. I don’t feel engaged with them as often as I would like to be.  I don’t feel like doing things such as maintenance, projects, going out, or even reading unless I really work get my head in the game. My doctor has noted some health concerns. I feel it.  It’s hard to lose weight and I have fatigue.  I struggle with depression and anxiety.  Overall, I’m okay, but still feel blah, a lack of zeal, irritability, cynical, and overwhelmed sometimes. I have felt like I’ve been just surviving for years.”

What made you decide to commit to Kyäni products?

I really liked the idea of the products being able to promote health in a natural way – through simple, good nutrition. I knew that if I made the financial commitment to buy quality products, not only could they help me, but also I’d be more personally committed to making healthier choices as to not “waste my money.“  Ultimately, it was hope in the result that moved me.  I knew I wanted my life to be more vibrant and hoped these could be the foundation to send me on my way to that.  They, and this whole Kyäni community, have certainly become that – beyond what I could have imagined.  They’ve changed my life!

What was the 90-Day Healthy Living Challenge experience like for you? 

It was so beneficial that this challenge provided a clear goal to keep myself focused and disciplined.  When I’d be out running, for example, I would want to stop, but would keep myself going by saying, “make it to the bridge for $15,000!”  Or, when I declined a treat at a friend’s house, I would tell them that I was doing it so that I could win the 90-Day Challenge, which added more social support and encouragement. It really kept me going! I knew that I was strong and could do anything for 90 days – so I just took it a day at a time and ate my healthy food and kept my activity level going.  “Inch by inch, life’s a cinch.”

What are your best tips and tricks for success during the 90-Day Healthy Living Challenge?

This one is built into the challenge, but take before pictures and look back on them throughout your journey.  It will be extremely motivating.  I’d also say, of course, to use the products consistently.  They are the best tools to make the effort you put in become the results you get out.  I could definitely feel the boost of energy and the efficiency of my metabolism increase.  Be brave and put your goals out to the world.  Ask friends and family to check in and keep you accountable.  Keep the process simple – don’t overthink it.  Just print out a meal plan and stick to it.  Show up at the gym or on the trail every day on schedule.  In other words, have a plan and don’t talk yourself out of it – just get up and do it every single day.  And this is one of my favorite tips – write a personal health mission statement and read it multiple times each day to remind you of your “whys” and the vision you have for yourself.  As Zig Ziglar says, “Motivation is like bathing.  I recommend it every day.”

What did you learn about yourself during the 90-Day Healthy Living Challenge?

I was reminded that I can achieve anything if I simply believe I can and put in the work.  I was also reminded that people, even if I don’t think they do, are watching and are inspired by my actions.  I had multiple people tell me that and I could see that they were subsequently following suit and making positive changes in their own lives. I absolutely love making a positive impact on the world and what an amazing way this is do that! I learned that I am more confident when I am making healthy choices.  This is not necessarily because my weight changed, but because I was treating myself with respect and practicing true self-care.  That is so boosting to the soul.

How has your life changed since the 90-Day Healthy Living Challenge?

Oh my goodness, where do I begin?!  Well, first, I’m $1,000 richer!  But, more importantly, I lost 40 lbs.!  I have improved my health and have catapulted into a forever healthy lifestyle.  I have more energy and zeal for life, better snore-less sleep, and increased personal confidence. My body is functioning well.  I have greater freedom.  For example, I can go to amusement parks without hesitation that they might say I can’t fit on a ride.  Airplane seatbelts are plenty big for me.  I can go zip lining with my family without exceeding the weight limit.  The quality of my life and ease of mind have greatly improved.  Everything has changed for the better!

How do you plan to continue on your Healthy Living journey?

I’ve already re-enrolled in my next 90-Day Challenge!  My next chapter is losing an additional 50 lbs. and continuing to increase my strength, my energy, and my stamina.  I want to run circles around my kids!  I have a long way to go but am so encouraged by how far I’ve come.  I have an effective path to continue on and I’ll keep challenging myself as I go.  I also really want to continue helping others on their own journeys – through inspiration, motivation, and by sharing the products and resources that have been so integral for me.  “Come on, world, we’re going for a ride and you’re going to thank me for it! Let’s GO!”
