Kyäni’s Healthy Living Movement is all about helping you live a balanced, productive, and healthier life! If you are feeling like your lifestyle scales are tipped too far to one side, you will need to find out where your lifestyle needs some balancing out. No matter where we are in life, we have responsibilities. How do we manage our responsibilities and make time to take care of our mental, physical, and spiritual wellness?
We have a few tips for you below so you can either start and/or continue your Healthy Living journey.
Indeed it takes practice to live a balanced life, but it’s very important for your overall health and wellbeing and still many people struggle to actually live out a balanced lifestyle.
If you should find yourself stretched thin, remember the tips below to get your balance back!
Take time to care of yourself
Above all else, make sure to take care of yourself. You can’t take on responsibilities successfully if you don’t have the energy or mental wellness to do them. Make sure to make time for things that release stress – whether that be exercise, reading a book, taking a hot bath, spending time outdoors, or watching an episode of your favorite TV show. Once you’ve recharged, you have more energy and motivation to continue whatever it is that needs doing – odds are, you’ll also probably do it better!
Know your priorities and stick with them
Remember, it is ok to say no. Many of us struggle to take on too many tasks at once and end up breaking down. Figure out what you value in life; what’s important to you? If you are finding that you are bogged down with something that you don’t value, and it isn’t necessary to keep, let it go.
Be efficient, be positive and expect the unexpected
If you are one of those people who is a bit scatterbrained, it’s a good idea to sit down at the beginning of every week and assess what needs to be done. Make a to-do list, and make sure you allow time for yourself, your family/friends, and recreational activities. Remember, recharging will make you more efficient in the long run! Live and savor the moment as well; don’t let stress and things that are out of your control get to you. Be prepared to do your best when problems arise, and expect the unexpected, but don’t worry about the things you can’t control. It’s easier said than done, but what does worrying do to solve the issue? When you find yourself worrying, take a step back, make sure that you’ve done all you can do, and then do your best to let it go.
Have a good start every day
Fuel your body with a balanced diet so you can focus on what you want to accomplish. Make sure to eat breakfast and never forget to include three key ingredients: protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Try a couple of eggs with a few avocado slices or some Greek yogurt with nuts and berries. Both of these options will fill you up, help smooth out your digestion, and power up your muscles.
