December 27, 2019 Update on Memorial Funds Share on: Dear Friends, In our announcement of the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of Kyäni Founders Kirk and Jim Hansen and many members of their extended families, we communicated that the Hansen family would prefer that, in lieu of sending flowers, interested parties donate to the Kyäni Caring Hands foundation. However, since that time, there have appropriately been several avenues organized to offer financial support to some of the younger families directly affected by this terrible accident, namely the Naylors, Dennerts, Longs, and the Stockton and Jake Hansen families. While we do not speak for any of them, we have the deepest sympathy for the losses they have suffered. We strongly support these fundraising efforts and join the community in rallying behind these families. During the immediate aftermath of this tragedy, many stepped forward and donated to the Kyäni Caring Hands foundation. We are grateful for this generosity and will honor the intent of those donations to help needy children throughout the world. However, Kyäni will also make matching donations to these young families suffering as a result of the crash, based on donations received by Kyäni Caring Hands in the month of December 2019.
